Komunikat prasowy o uruchomieniu lotów z Rzeszowa do Rygi z przesiadkami do stolic krajów północnej Europy.

The Latvian national airline airBaltic announces its expansion in Poland and plans to launch twice-weekly flights from Rzeszow to its home base in Riga, Latvia. Alongside Krakow, from where scheduled flights are already operated to Vilnius in Lithuania, Rzeszow will be the second destination served by airBaltic in Poland and will offer local travellers convenient connections to all Nordic and Baltic capitals via Riga.

Thomas Ramdahl, SVP Network Management at airBaltic: "Our return to Poland is an important step for airBalticNot only we are strengthening our presence in Poland, but also, with Rzeszow being located close to the border with Ukraine, we are taking our initial step to help contribute to Ukrainian citizens safely reaching the rest of Europe. We are looking forward to serving the passenger demand directly from Rzeszow and the wider region and are grateful to Rzeszow Airport for the cooperation and support."

Adam Hamryszczak, the President of the Rzeszów-Jasionka Ulma Family Airport, stated: "We are delighted with the Latvian carrier's choice to introduce a direct route between Riga and Rzeszow. This provides a new destination for the residents of the region, and the Friday and Monday flights make it an excellent option for a weekend city break."

The new route will be launched with an inaugural flight on October 28, 2024. The twice-weekly flights will be operated on this route on Mondays and Fridays. The ticket prices are starting from PLN 250 (Economy Class) and PLN 1065 (Business Class).*
